Country Style Living: Middelburg Accommodation in Eastern Cape

The farm is close enough to Middelburg for guests to go into town for a meal if they feel like trying the local resturants. The toe Even though we are close to town, the house is situated in a way that one feels far from any civilization. Even though we are just off the N9 guests remain totally oblivious, with the main road camouflaged by the large Renosteberg mountain.

The guest house boast three types of rooms, the Princess Room, Standard Room and Family Room. The Princess room is for those who would like a little bit of pampering during their stay in the Karoo. This room has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. The room is incredibly spacious with beautiful pressed ceiling. This room has a queen bed with the small luxuries such as a heated blanket and wooden duvet. There are two standard rooms downstairs, one with a double bed and the second with two 3/4 beds. These rooms each have their own designated bathroom, however these bathrooms are available for anyone to use in the house.

There is one standard room upstairs which boasts beautiful views up onto the Renosterberg mountain. This spacious room has two 3/4 beds. There is also a unique family room upstairs which can fit a family of four with three beds ( one double and two singles). Both the family room and standard room share a bathroom upstairs.

This is a beautiful house with old Karoo house charms and quirks, there are no modern amenities such as en-suite bathrooms or open plan living. We try to keep the authenticity of the house by maintaining the old fittings and furniture. Staying in this old house is an experience in itself.

We hope that you will come and spend some time with us at Dwarsvlei Guest House, be it a stop over or holiday stay.
